Credit Card Payments SECURITY UPDATE   
Some people have reported problems when making credit card payments. 
Remember when you are making a credit card charge with a company credit card you must use and enter the BILLING ADDRESS for the credit card.  Also some government cards have blocks on them for specific sites.  If you have any questions please contact the QAW reservation team. 

If you wish to make your Workshop registration payment(s) with a VISA or MASTER CARD Click Here and go to the QAW store.  Please remember that your hotel registration and payment are not included in the workshop registration.  When you make your payment remember to download your registration form and email to registration@midatlanticqaw.com or fax (302) 739-5270 Attention QAW Registration Team   


Professional Development Hours (PDH)
PDHs will be issued for attending the 2012 QAW.  Hours will be issued after the conference via email.  Attendees must complete an evaluation form  for each session they attend.  Check with the QAW staff during the workshop if you have any questions and the evaluation forms.

Hotel Rooms Rates 
This years workshop will be held at the Dover Hotel and Conference Center A block of rooms have been reserved for Tuesday and Wednesday nights at the rate of $77.00 + taxes and fees.  (single or double occupancy) and are available until January 8, 2012.  Rooms are on a first come first served basis.  Think it is to late or your luck ran out?  Well the Hotel has some rooms at the conference rate   But the number is very limited so give the hotel a call. NOW.

Participants must contact the hotel directly to make room reservations at 1-800-711-5882.  The group rate reservations code is GDDT.  Your reservations may also be made at www.doverdowns.com and the group reservation code is Dedot.




 







PCEF and SCEF 2011 Meetings 
The Mid-Atlantic States  Structural Committee for Economic Fabrication (SCEF) meeting will be held on Monday February 6, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM with the Prestressed Concrete Committee(PCEF) being held on February 7, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.   Click for SCEF Agenda

Our Charter states in part that the mission of the Mid-Atlantic Quality Assurance Workshop (QAW) is to promote, adopt and emphasize new transportation technologies and the implementation of pro-active policies, practices, and procedures that ensure the real life of the transportation infrastructure equals or exceeds its design life at a minimum overall cost. more of the Executive Summary ... or you can view the charter in full. 

The Mid-Atlantic Quality Assurance Workshop is an annual event held each year since 1967. The Workshop includes five breakout sessions devoted to the latest information on highway materials in the areas of asphalt, concrete, metals, maintenance, and soils and aggregates.

The states of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia make up the Mid-Atlantic QAW.  Sponsorship of the Workshop is rotated yearly, with the  Delaware Department  of Transportation (DelDOT) hosting the 2012 meeting, which is to be held February 7-9, 2012.   The meeting is open to anyone interested in highway construction materials including government transportation employees, contractors, producers and suppliers.
